Introduction


English is one of the most used languages in the world. Therefore, this blog is dedicated to learn English in general , and also for translation. Here are some tips to help you get started:

1- Listen to English every day.
2-Watch movies with English subtitles , that will surely improve you English.
3-Read stories and novels; reading will enhance your vocabulary.
4-Try to write your dairy in English. Don’t worry you will make mistakes, but that is fine the most important thing is that you can write.
5-Try to practice your speaking with your friend, by asking them about their hoppy or held a normal daily conversation.

What is proverb?

A proverb is a short, generally known sentence of the folk which contains wisdom, truth, morals, and traditional views in a metaphorical, fixed and memorizable form and which is handed down from generation to generation.
—Mieder 1985:119; also in Mieder 1993:24

While Sydney J. Harris defines proverb as'' a statement we enthusiastically embrace when we are unwilling to examine  the particulars situation"
From these definition we can comprehend that proverbs is a mirror of the experience of  other people.

Literal meaning : If you can't reward then you should thank.
Metaphorical meaning : If your hand can't give a reward then thank through your tongue.

Continue With the Proverb Translation(HAND)


1.   اللي في يدك اقرب من اللي في جيبك .

Literal meaning : What is in your hand is nearer ( to you) than what is in your pocket.
Metaphorical meaning : Keep your property as much as possible at your own disposal, for you never know when or how fast you may need it. This proverb in particular urges us always to be prudent with money ( even if we have plenty of it ).

Translation of the Arabic Proverbs About Head By Alanood

حط راسك بين هالروس و قول يا قطاع الروس.


Translation: Put your head between these heads and shout "cut our heads off!".

The meaning: would you do whatever anyone else is doing,even if it means your life?

compare with English proverb " if your friend jumped from a bridge,would you as well?"
